Local artist RJ McNall has enjoyed a passionate
love of the Great Smoky Mountains since childhood. She
lives and works in her cabin nestled in a
valley, surrounded by inspiration.
Her medium is oil on canvas from on site sketches or photos. Most of her landscapes are of favorite places in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
With time, oil paint and brush strokes, she conveys a deep respect for the unique beauty God has bestowed on this region. "These mountains are so special, they embrace us, shelter us and comfort us", says McNall.
This is apparent in her work.
This website offers a small sample
of McNalls work.

The fireplace keeps us toasty warm in
the winter, the forest around us keeps
us cool in the summer, and an occasional
bear at the back door don't hurt nothing. |
